Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Real Madrid could line up for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Chelsea.

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti should have Vinicius Junior and Toni Kroos back in the fold for Tuesday's Champions League quarter-final second leg with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Neither man was risked for Saturday's 2-0 La Liga win over Cadiz due to overload, but their absences were merely precautionary, and the duo will be expected to return to the first XI in the English capital.

Ferland Mendy (calf) is still sidelined, which could see Eduardo Camavinga fielded as a makeshift left-back once again, in spite of Nacho Fernandez's goal on Saturday night.

Eder Militao and David Alaba should be called upon to protect ex-Chelsea man Thibaut Courtois - leaving another former Blues player in Antonio Rudiger on the bench - while Dani Carvajal is in line to displace Lucas Vazquez on the right.

Assuming Kroos proves his fitness in time, the German should take the place of Dani Ceballos in the midfield triumvirate alongside Federico Valverde and Luka Modric, who will be expected to demote Aurelien Tchouameni to the bench.

Valverde operating in a midfield role would allow Rodrygo to continue on the right flank, as Vinicius prepares to take the place of Marco Asensio, in spite of the Spaniard's goals against Chelsea and Cadiz.

Benzema's opener in the first leg means that each of the Frenchman's last 11 Champions League goals have been against English teams, and he will lead the line with fond memories of his Stamford Bridge hat-trick from 12 months ago.

Real Madrid possible starting lineup: Courtois; Carvajal, Militao, Alaba, Camavinga; Modric, Valverde, Kroos; Rodrygo, Benzema, Vinicius Jr
