Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Bayern Munich vs. Bayer Leverkusen

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Bayern Munich vs. Bayer Leverkusen.

RB Leipzig vs. Augsburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

RB Leipzig are set to host Augsburg at Red Bull Arena on Saturday in each side's fifth Bundesliga game of the season.

The home team are unbeaten after four games and are in fifth place with eight points, while the visitors have been plagued by inconsistency during their campaign so far and are in 12th place with four points.

We say: RB Leipzig 1-0 Augsburg

While Leipzig have been poor in front of goal this season, it would be surprising if they failed to score for a third consecutive league match.

Considering Augsburg's worrying top-flight record recently, they could struggle to get back into the game if the hosts were to score first.

Freiburg vs. St Pauli (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Two sides at opposite ends of the 2024-25 Bundesliga standings will face off at at Europa-Park Stadion on Saturday afternoon when Freiburg play host to St Pauli.

The hosts are currently in third place with nine points after the first four games of the season, while the visitors have just one point over the same period and are second bottom.

We say: Freiburg 2-0 St Pauli

Freiburg have been one of the standout performers over the first four games of the season, and they will see this as a match that they should be coming away from with all three points, given their opponents record to this point.

While St Pauli managed to pick up an against-the-odds point against Leipzig last time out, we feel they will struggle to get anything from this one.

Wolfsburg vs. Stuttgart (Saturday, 2.30pm)

After their dominant win against Borussia Dortmund last time out, Stuttgart will hope to pick up their third win of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season when they travel to Volkswagen Arena on Saturday, where they will face Wolfsburg.

The home team are currently in 13th place and have just three points from their four matches so far, while the visitors have seven points and are in seventh place.

We say: Wolfsburg 1-2 Stuttgart

Wolfsburg's poor start to the season could continue on Saturday given they face a rejuvenated Stuttgart.

However, last season's runners-up will not find victory easy, and it would not be surprising if they failed to keep a clean sheet.

Mainz vs. Heidenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Facing off for just a third time in the Bundesliga, Mainz 05 will meet Heidenheim at Mewa Arena on Saturday.

The 05ers failed to beat their visitors in two contests last season, but FCH have just suffered two heavy defeats for the loss of seven goals.

We say: Mainz 05 2-2 Heidenheim

Only Werder Bremen have taken fewer shots than either of these teams this season; however, only Bayern Munich have a better conversion rate than Heidenheim, and Mainz are not much further behind.

Therefore, goals should be guaranteed in a game between two well-matched sides, with the spoils being shared at the final whistle.

Borussia M'bach vs. Union Berlin (Saturday, 2.30pm)

In their fifth Bundesliga game of the season, Borussia Monchengladbach will hope to avoid losing their fourth league match when they host Union Berlin at Borussia-Park on Saturday.

The hosts lost last time out against Eintracht Frankfurt on September 21 and are currently fifth last in 14th place with three points, while the visitors are sixth with eight points and remain unbeaten.

We say: Borussia Monchengladbach 1-0 Union Berlin

Seoane will hope that Borussia Monchengladbach can make good on their underlying attacking metrics and pick up their second win of the season.

Given Union Berlin's poor away record, the hosts could take advantage, but it would be surprising if they managed to score many considering they failed to create many chances last time out.

Bayern vs. B. Leverkusen (Saturday, 5.30pm)

In what could prove to be a crucial match in the Bundesliga title race, champions Bayer Leverkusen travel to Allianz Arena on Saturday where they will face Bayern Munich.

The hosts have started life under manager Vincent Kompany well and are currently first with 12 points from four league games, while the visitors are second with nine points and have won three of their four top-flight matches.

We say: Bayern Munich 4-2 Bayer Leverkusen

Bayern have been incredible from an offensive perspective this season, and given Leverkusen's defensive vulnerability this term, they could plausibly create numerous goalscoring opportunities.

Alonso's side have been strong offensively themselves, but while the likes of Wirtz and Boniface may score, it is difficult to see how they can win if Bayern are as strong offensively on Saturday as they have been in recent weeks.
