Saturday's Bundesliga predictions including Werder Bremen vs. Bayern Munich

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Bundesliga fixtures, including Werder Bremen vs. Bayern Munich.

Heidenheim vs. Freiburg (Saturday, 2.30pm)

Heidenheim will be hoping to bounce back from their loss last time out when they host Freiburg on Saturday at Voith-Arena in the Bundesliga.

The home side are fourth with six points after three games and lost 4-2 against Borussia Dortmund on September 13, while the away team are seventh but also have six points from their first three league fixtures.

We say: Heidenheim 1-2 Freiburg

While Heidenheim have begun 2024-25 in excellent form, the fact they have played two additional competitive games this season could mean they come into the clash more fatigued than their opponents.

Freiburg have also started the season well, and it would not be a surprise if they left Voith-Arena with all three points.

Werder Bremen vs. Bayern (Saturday, 2.30pm)

After a statement win in the Champions League on Tuesday, Bayern Munich will hope to capitalise on their goalscoring form and beat hosts Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga at Weserstadion on Saturday.

The home side are eighth in the table with five points from their first three league games of the season, while Bayern are first with nine points after three matchweeks.

We say: Werder Bremen 0-3 Bayern Munich

Though Werder Bremen have proven capable defensively this season, it is difficult to see them keeping a clean sheet given the rampant form of the visitors in front of goal.

Fresh from their win in the Champions League, Bayern will be full of confidence and should be strong favourites.

Union Berlin vs. Hoffenheim (Saturday, 2.30pm)

In each side's fourth league of the Bundesliga season, Union Berlin are set to host Hoffenheim on Saturday at Stadion An der Alten Forsterei.

The hosts are ninth with five points from their first three fixtures of the league season and drew 0-0 with RB Leipzig on September 14, while the visitors are fifth last in 14th place with three points after three matchweeks.

We say: Union Berlin 2-0 Hoffenheim

Hoffenheim's defensive record in the league has been concerning for some time, and it would be surprising if they managed to keep a clean sheet on Saturday.

Additionally, Union Berlin have proven this season they are capable of winning without dominating possession, and they could prove dangerous during counter-attacks.

VfL Bochum vs. Holstein Kiel (Saturday, 2.30pm)

VfL Bochum and Holstein Kiel are winless after three Bundesliga matches heading into Saturday's gameweek four encounter at Vonovia Ruhrstadion.

Both sides have had it rough at the start of the new campaign, with the home team unable to shake off last term's struggles and the away side's debut top-flight season not going swimmingly — underscored by last weekend's 6-1 thrashing at the hands of Bayern Munich.

We say: VfL Bochum 2-1 Holstein Kiel

While Bochum will fancy themselves against wet-behind-the-ears opposition in Kiel, the new boys hope their expertise on the road under Rapp stands them in good stead in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Even though Saturday's outcome could be a score draw, we back the hosts to eke out a marginal victory against the promoted side to register their first points of the season.

Frankfurt vs. Borussia M'bach (Saturday, 5.30pm)

Eintracht Frankfurt will be hoping to win their third game of the 2024-25 Bundesliga season on Saturday when they host Borussia Monchengladbach at Deutsche Bank Park.

The home side are sixth with three points after three matchweeks and beat Wolfsburg 2-1 last time out on September 14, while the away team lost their third top-flight fixture 3-1 on the same date against Stuttgart and are 13th with three points.

We say: Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1 Borussia Monchengladbach

Given that Eintracht Frankfurt have conceded a large volume of shots in their opening three games of the league season, it would be surprising if they kept a clean sheet.

However, it is difficult to ignore Borussia Monchengladbach's poor away form, and this should make the hosts favourites.
