Wolverhampton Wanderers' clash with Stevenage postponed

The match between Stevenage and Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was due to take place on Saturday, has been called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

A waterlogged pitch has forced the match between Stevenage and Wolverhampton Wanderers to be postponed.

Both clubs had been hoping to secure three points that would improve their position at contrasting ends of the table, but torrential rain in midweek has forced the cancellation of the fixture.

A Stevenage statement read: "Tomorrow's League One game against Wolverhampton Wanderers has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

"The Lamex Stadium playing surface failed a pitch inspection a short time ago, leaving no option but to postpone tomorrow's match."

Stevenage will return to action with a trip to Rotherham United next weekend, while Wolves are scheduled to host Notts County at Molineux.
