West Bromwich Albion 'to rival Tottenham Hotspur for Vedat Muriqi'

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi, providing that they can secure promotion to the Premier League.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly ready to rival Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Fenerbahce forward Vedat Muriqi.

Throughout the January transfer window, Muriqi was linked with a move to Manchester United, only for the Premier League giants to instead sign Odion Ighalo.

Spurs were also credited with an interest in the Kosovo international, whom they seemingly regard as the ideal backup to Harry Kane.

However, according to Aksam, West Brom boss Slaven Bilic is also an admirer of the 26-year-old.

Providing that the Baggies earn promotion to the Premier League, it is suggested that a bid of £18m could be made for the frontman.

Muriqi has impressed for Fenerbahce this season, contributing 13 goals and four assists from 25 outings in Turkey's top flight.
