West Bromwich Albion are reportedly interested in signing on-loan midfielder Filip Krovinovic permanently from parent club Benfica.

West Bromwich Albion are reportedly eager to make Filip Krovinovic's loan deal from Benfica permanent at the end of the season.

The 24-year-old has impressed since joining the Baggies last summer, making 34 appearances across all competitions including 31 in the Championship, where West Brom currently occupy an automatic promotion spot.

The Express & Star reports that manager Slaven Bilic has given the green light for the club to make Krovinovic's move permanent, despite the initial deal not including an option to buy.

West Brom's transfer plans have not yet been finalised, though, with the club waiting to discover the full extent of the disruption caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

Krovinovic will reportedly be available for around £10m, but the enforced stoppage of football until at least April 30 has impacted on clubs' finances and could force the Baggies hierarchy into a rethink.

The midfielder has scored two goals and created four more in his 31 Championship outings this season.
