Ronny Deila expects Celtic answers against Inter Milan

Celtic manager Ronny Deila believes that his side's Europa League clash with Inter Milan will give him an indication of how far they have progressed this season.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has claimed that tomorrow night's Europa League clash with Inter Milan will show him how far his players have developed this season.

The Scottish champions welcome the Italian giants to Glasgow for the first leg of their last-32 tie.

Deila has guided Celtic to eight wins from their last eight games, but he admits that Inter will provide his team with a more thorough test than they are used to.

"We will get a lot of answers tomorrow - how good are Celtic right now and how good are we individually," he is quoted as saying by BBC Sport. "We've had many big matches and maybe this is the biggest challenge I've had so far as manager of Celtic.

"We have a very exciting squad, we have many young players who are just at the beginning of their careers and these matches are important to improve and to show what level you are at. I have a very good feeling, I think we are a very strong unit now and we have good togetherness."

Celtic beat Inter Milan in 1967 to become the first British club to win the European Cup.
