Celtic boss Ronny Deila cannot afford to drop in-form striker Leigh Griffiths for Thursday's Europa League clash with Inter Milan, according to Robert Snodgrass.
The 24-year-old has netted in the Bhoys' last three games but it remains to be seen if he will retain his selection for the visit of Inter, with Anthony Stokes and John Guidetti also in the reckoning.
However, Snodgrass, who played alongside Griffiths at Livingston, says that the Norwegian manager has to include his former teammate in this week's first-leg last-32 clash.
"You need to start him as he's on fire just now," the Hull City midfielder told the Herald Scotland.
"I've watched him and he's working hard for the team. He should have had four goals in the first 45 minutes [on Saturday against St Johnstone] so I think you need to play him.
"He's the only player in the Celtic frontline that can stretch the defence."
The Scottish champions travel to Milan for the return leg on February 26.
