Late goal gives Braga victory over Tondela

Nikola Stojiljkovic scores the only goal of the game as Braga defeat Tondela in the Primeira Liga.

Braga have defeated bottom club Tondela by a single goal in the Primeira Liga this evening.

Tondela had the first chance of the match in the 14th minute but Borges Machado's shot was saved by Stanislav Kritsyuk.

Braga dominated possession in the first half and Joan Roman nearly broke the deadlock in the 35th minute but shot wide.

The away side had a penalty appeal turned down with 20 minutes remaining when the ball appeared to strike a defender's hand.

Braga finally took the lead in the 78th minute when Nikola Stojiljkovic beat the offside trap to finish from a tight angle.

Tondela finished the match with 10 men after Kaka picked up his second yellow card.

The result means that Tondela stay rooted to the bottom of the Primeira Liga table while Braga stay in fourth.
