Wednesday's Champions League predictions including Benfica vs. PSV

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Wednesday's Champions League fixtures, including Benfica vs. PSV Eindhoven.

Young Boys vs. Ferencvaros (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

With one final hurdle to navigate in the Champions League qualifying rounds, Young Boys welcome Ferencvaros to the Wankdorf Stadium for the first leg of their playoff tie on Wednesday night.

The Swiss giants knocked Cluj out of the tournament in the previous round to make it this far, while Ferencvaros edged past Slavia Prague in the third qualifying round.

We say: Young Boys 1-1 Ferencvaros

Ferencvaros are yet to keep a clean sheet away from home in this season's Champions League, and the losses of Mmaee and Civic could yet prove key in Wednesday's first leg.

Young Boys have numerous selection concerns of their own to worry about, however, and we can see the visitors claiming a respectable draw before next week's decider.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Malmo vs. Ludogorets (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Seeking a first Champions League group stage appearance since the 2015-16 season, Malmo welcome Ludogorets Razgrad to the Eleda Stadion for the first leg of their playoff tie.

The Swedish champions overcame Rangers 4-2 on aggregate in the third round to get this far, while the visitors edged past Greek giants Olympiacos from 12 yards.

We say: Malmo 0-1 Ludogorets Razgrad

While the loss of Despodov through suspension will undoubtedly harm Ludogorets on the attacking front, the Bulgarian side have already proved their European pedigree, and the confidence in the visiting camp will be sky-high after victory over Olympiacos.

The Bulgarian outfit have been granted rests from domestic action while they bid to do their country proud in Europe, but the same cannot be said for a fatigued Malmo, who we expect to fall just short in a closely-fought first leg.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Benfica vs. PSV (Wednesday, 8.00pm)

Benfica welcome PSV Eindhoven to the Estadio da Luiz in Lisbon for the first leg of their Champions League playoff encounter on Wednesday night.

Arguably the tie of the round, only one of these European giants can progress into this year's group stage, which neither side competed in last season.

We say: Benfica 2-2 PSV Eindhoven

Even though first-leg encounters can often be cagey affairs, these two sides have plenty of firepower and are set to cause each other problems in the final third, so goals are to be expected on Wednesday.

With little to separate these two in-form teams, an entertaining score draw could be on the cards in Lisbon.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
