Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu fit to face Bayern Munich

Barcelona defender Jeremy Mathieu recovers from an Achilles injury to be named in the squad for the team's Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich.

Jeremy Mathieu has been passed fit for Barcelona's Champions League semi-final second leg against Bayern Munich after recovering from an Achilles injury.

The France international defender was forced to miss last week's first-leg victory at the Camp Nou because of the problem.

Mathieu was also absent for Barca's 2-0 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga on Saturday - a result that has helped the Catalan giants open up a four-point lead at the top of the table.

However, the 31-year-old came through a training session on Sunday and has been included in Luis Enrique's squad for Tuesday's trip to the Allianz Arena.

Mathieu has scored three goals in 36 appearances for Barcelona so far this season.
