London Welsh confirm that they will not take action against Scarlets following Gavin Henson's injury after an internal review deemed the challenge an accident.

London Welsh have confirmed that they will take no further action regarding the injury Gavin Henson suffered during the side's friendly with Scarlets at Parc y Scarlets last weekend.

The Aviva Premiership side decided to carry out an internal review of the incident, which left the 30-year-old with a fractured cheek bone.

A statement on the club's official website said: "Having reviewed the DVD the club are satisfied that the injury to Gavin was caused by an accidental clash of heads, and the club does not attach blame to any Scarlets player."

Henson is expected to be on the sidelines for six weeks.
