Roma are reportedly closing in on the signing of Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper Rui Patricio as the two clubs agree on a fee of £13m.

Roma have reportedly edged closer to an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers for goalkeeper Rui Patricio.

The Italian club are looking to sell current goalkeeper Pau Lopez before purchasing Patricio, and talks are believed to be underway over the double sale of Lopez and Cengiz Under to Marseille.

A deal to bring Patricio to Roma is expected to accelerate when Lopez departs the Italian capital, and now that Portugal have been knocked out of Euro 2020 which gives Patricio time to complete his medical.

Sky Sports News reports that Jose Mourinho's new club are nearing Wolves' valuation of £13m for Patricio, who has just one year remaining on his contract at Molineux.

The 33-year-old arrived at Wolves in 2018 from Sporting Lisbon for £16.2m, and was one of many deal that agent Jorge Mendes completed with the Premier League outfit during Nuno Espirito Santo's time at the helm.

Since his arrival at Molineux, Patricio has gone on to keep 37 clean sheets in 157 appearances for the club.
