Zinedine Zidane: Cristiano Ronaldo "100% fit" for Champions League final

Zinedine Zidane eases supporters' fears over the fitness of Cristiano Ronaldo, claiming that the Real Madrid star will be at full fitness for the Champions League final.

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has declared that Cristiano Ronaldo is over his recent injury problem and is able to play a full part in the Champions League final.

The Los Blancos' star man limped out of training earlier this week which left him as a doubt for the clash with rivals Atletico Madrid - a repeat of the 2014 final which Real won in extra time to seal La Decima.

Ronaldo will head into Saturday evening's San Siro showdown at peak fitness, however, with manager Zidane having no concerns over the 31-year-old's recent injury issues.

"He's 100% at the moment," the Frenchman is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "He did have something before the Manchester City game [in the semi-final], but now I think he is okay.

"He had a slight problem but it's completely different now. He is going to be 100% fit."

Real will be without defender Raphael Varane, who has also been ruled out of the European Championship finals due to a thigh problem.
