Crystal Palace want to re-sign Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan for the rest of the season, according to a report.

Crystal Palace are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 25-year-old started his professional career with Palace, featuring on 46 occasions for the London club before making the move to Man United in 2019.

Wan-Bissaka's form during the 2018-19 campaign convinced the Red Devils to sign him, and he has represented the club on 128 occasions, contributing two goals and 11 assists in the process.

The right-back has only played four minutes of Premier League football this term, though, having struggled with injuries and illness, in addition to a loss of form.

Diogo Dalot is also firmly Man United's first-choice right-back, which has further limited his action.

Wan-Bissaka was handed a start against Burnley in the EFL Cup on Wednesday, though, with Dalot missing due to the injury that he picked up while representing Portugal at the World Cup.

The Englishman provided an assist during an encouraging performance against the Championship winners, with Man United advancing to the quarter-finals courtesy of a 2-0 win.

After the match, Red Devils boss Erik ten Hag insisted that Wan-Bissaka still "has a future" at Old Trafford despite the recent speculation.

"Aaron Wan-Bissaka, it is clear he has a future (here)," Ten Hag told reporters. "He's had some good years with United, but from the start of this season he had a lot of illnesses and injuries, and so was running behind.

"His fitness levels are getting better, his performance levels are getting better. When you get an assist, especially the way he got that assist with his movement and the right moment, the timing and then great pass of course from Bruno (Fernandes). But this is great and so I'm happy with his performance. He did good."

However, according to the Evening Standard, there are talks taking place surrounding Wan-Bissaka's future, with Palace looking to bring him back to the club.

The report claims that the Eagles could re-sign the defender on loan until the end of the season, but Man United would want guarantees over a permanent move next summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and West Ham United have also been credited with an interest in the full-back over the last couple of weeks.
