Manchester United are reportedly confident of wrapping up a £60m deal for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele during the next transfer window.

Manchester United are reportedly confident of winning the race to sign Lyon forward Ousmane Dembele during the next transfer window.

While United have long been linked with the former Celtic player, Lyon have insisted that one of their key men is not for sale.

The Premier League giants also face competition from a number of other clubs, including from Chelsea who wish to strengthen their forward line later in 2020.

However, the Daily Star claims that United expect to be able to secure a £60m deal for the 23-year-old at the earliest opportunity.

Despite his 16-goal return in Ligue 1 this season, Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has already acknowledged that sales must be made after the club missed out on European football.

Nevertheless, with the player still having over three years left on his contract, Aulas will not be prepared to accept a cut-price fee.
