According to a report Manchester United have outspent every other club in Europe across the past 10 years, having paid out over £1 billion in transfer fees alone.

It has been revealed that Manchester United have topped the transfer spending list across the past 10 years in Europe.

During the last decade, there has been a lot of money spent by the elite European teams, particularly within the Premier League, as six of the top 10 are from England's top flight.

According to the Football Observatory, the Red Devils came out on top when it comes to net spending throughout the previous 10 seasons, with £903m outgoings, having spent £1.3 billion, while they brought in £395m from sales of other players.

During that time, Paul Pogba was the most expensive signing for Manchester United, costing the club £93.3m, while Romelu Lukaku was not far behind with a fee of £90m.

While they did not make the top 10, West Ham United, Liverpool, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace, Leicester City, Brighton & Hove Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers featured in the top 20.

The full list is as follows:

2- Manchester City
3- Paris Saint-Germain
