Manchester United reportedly reject a late approach from West Ham United for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Erik ten Hag keen to keep the 24-year-old as cover for Diogo Dalot.

Manchester United have reportedly rebuffed a late approach from West Ham United to sign right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The 24-year-old has lost his place in the side under Erik ten Hag to Diogo Dalot and has only played four minutes in the Premier League so far in the 2021-22 season.

Wan-Bissaka was also not included in the squad to face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium in Thursday's Premier League clash, but it then emerged that the right-back was dealing with a knock.

The ex-Crystal Palace man has been strongly linked with an exit from the Red Devils regardless, but according to talkSPORT, Man United have turned down a late approach from West Ham.

The report claims that Ten Hag is keen to keep Wan-Bissaka around as cover for first-choice Dalot, and he will not allow the Englishman to leave having failed to sign a new defender in that area this summer.

Wan-Bissaka remains under contract at Old Trafford until the end of the 2023-24 season and boasts two goals and 10 assists from 127 appearances for the 20-time English champions in all tournaments.

Man United also possess the option to extend Wan-Bissaka's stay until the summer of 2025, but he is said to want assurances over his game time at Old Trafford to stay for the long-term.
