Barcelona reportedly set Samuel Umtiti's asking price at £44m ahead of the next transfer window.

Barcelona are reportedly prepared to sell Samuel Umtiti for £44m during the next transfer window.

Although Umtiti has made 114 appearances since leaving Lyon in 2016, the centre-back has recently been sidelined through injury or found himself relegated to the substitutes' bench.

With the 26-year-old still highly regarded on the continent, Italian journalist Nicola Schira suggests that the Catalan giants are ready to cash in on his services.

Taking into account the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, it is claimed that Umtiti will be allowed to leave Barcelona for £44m.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea have all been heavily linked with an approach for the France international in recent months.

Umtiti still has over three years remaining on his contract, leaving Barca in a strong position when it comes to demanding their asking price.
