David Moyes would consider Celtic, Rangers jobs

David Moyes says that he would be interested in managing either side of the Old Firm divide, but returning to the Premier League remains his priority.

Former Manchester United manager David Moyes has admitted that he would be interested in managing either Celtic or Rangers in the future.

The 55-year-old is currently out of work after leaving his position as West Ham United boss at the end of last season.

Moyes has never managed in his Scottish homeland, but he has previously revealed that he held talks with Celtic two years ago after Ronny Deila was sacked.

Brendan Rodgers subsequently took charge of the Hoops and is under contract for another three years, while Steven Gerrard was only appointed by Rangers in the summer.

Moyes would welcome a return home to Glasgow further down the line, though, telling Open Goal: "I would be [interested]. I've been close to a few of them once or twice and thought about it a lot. I would be.

"It's my home and I'd like to come back and do it sometime, but while the Premier League's so strong, that would probably still remain my interest."

As well as managing Man United and West Ham, Moyes has also spent time with Preston North End, Everton, Real Sociedad and Sunderland.
