Birmingham City will be without striker Marlon King for the rest of the season as he is due to undergo knee surgery.

Birmingham City striker Marlon King will be unavailable for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury.

The 32-year-old, who moved to the Blues from Coventry City in 2011, has been struggling with a knee complaint over the last few weeks.

Championship boss Lee Clark has confirmed that the frontman will play no part in the rest of the club's campaign as he requires surgery to solve the knee problem.

"It's a blow for Marlon, it's a blow for us," Clark told Sky Sports News. "It's an opportunity for someone else to take now."

Nikola Zigic, whose attitude was recently heavily criticised by Clark, has been deputising.
