Real Sociedad beat Getafe

Real Sociedad beat Getafe 2-0 in La Liga with goals from Carlos Vela and Haris Seferovic.

Real Sociedad have comfortably defeated Getafe in La Liga with a goal in each half helping them to a 2-0 win.

Gonzalo Castro came within inches of breaking the deadlock for the hosts as he struck the underside of the bar from a tight angle.

Sociedad's pressure continued and they went ahead just before the break as ex-Arsenal man Carlos Vela produced a typical finish to dink over the advancing Miguel Angel Moya.

In the second half Diego Castro had a glorious opening to equalise but could only put the chance over the bar under pressure.

A minute later the points were secured for the hosts as Haris Seferovic was threaded in superbly by Vela to also chip Moya.
