Getafe boss Luis Garcia Plaza has said that his team simply could not stop the onslaught from Real Madrid as they fell to a 4-0 defeat at the Bernabeu.
Azulones held out for 54 minutes before Sergio Ramos bundled in the opener, leaving Garcia angry that Ricardo Carvalho went unpunished for his challenge on goalkeeper Miguel Angel Moya.
However, the 40-year-old coach conceded that his side crumbled against their local rivals after Cristiano Ronaldo bagged the first of his three goals in the 62nd minute.
"It is very clear that Carvalho fouled Moya for their first goal, but we did not lose because of that," Garcia Plaza told reporters. "After we conceded the second goal, they completely killed us – we broke down.
"When you have to go out and take the game to Madrid, unless you are properly in tune, they will kill you.
"You can study the cons of Madrid, but when they play like that you just can't stop them."
Getafe remain 11th in La Liga.
