Sports Mole looks ahead to Reading's Boxing Day fixture against Swansea City.

Hosting Reading have failed to emerge victorious from their last seven meetings with Michael Laudrup's Swansea City.

Those run of matches have seen the Swans win on four occasions, including the Championship playoff final at Wembley Stadium in 2011.

Brian McDermott will be looking for his Reading side to end that sequence of results because they are currently bottom of the Premier League table and six points from safety.

Any positive result will have to be achieved without experienced striker Jason Roberts because of a knee problem, while defender Sean Morrison has also been ruled out with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, Swansea should be able to call upon Spanish winger Pablo Hernandez, who has missed the last five matches with a thigh injury. Ki Sung-Yueng may also be recalled to the starting lineup in place of Kemy Agustien.

The visitors have only scored one first-half league goal away from home this season.

Sports Mole says: 1-1
