Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has praised Swansea City striker Michu ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash at White Hart Lane.

The Spaniard is the league's top scorer this season with 12 goals from 16 matches and has helped the Swans move up to eighth place in the table.

"Any player arriving in the Premier League will find it difficult but Michu has been brilliant, a tremendous goalscorer," Villas-Boas told reporters.

"[Jonathan] De Guzman and [Pablo] Hernandez have also done well and Michael Laudrup has taken Swansea to the next level."

Spurs go into the game just three points above their opponents in the standings.
