Philippe Coutinho vows to improve Liverpool attack

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho says that he will work hard to improve the team's clinical edge in front of goal.

Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has stated that he will do all that he can to improve the team's potency in front of goal.

The Reds have struggled for goals in the Premier League this season, scoring 13 in 12 games, despite bringing in the likes of Roberto Firmino, Christian Benteke and Danny Ings over the summer.

Coutinho has said that once the team gets used to the methods of new manager Jurgen Klopp they will find the back of the net more often.

"I have to adapt to them, but it's not only me who must do this," Coutinho told the Liverpool Echo. "When you get new players, especially strikers, it is the job of all of the team to give them the service they need. I have to learn whether it is right to play a fast ball or a pass along the ground, depending on who I am playing the ball to.

"The training sessions are very important for this adaptation process to happen. We work on this every day in training and the sessions are very intense.

"If we're not doing it right, or something isn't working, we do it again and again until we get it right. The more you train with your teammates, the more you learn about each other and this is important for the team to do well."

Coutinho has scored four goals in 15 appearances for Liverpool this season.
