Liverpool have agreed a deal in principle to sign former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato from parent club Corinthians, according to reports.
Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web claims that the Reds have agreed to sign the Brazil international "in the coming weeks" for a fee of €20m (£14.2m) as manager Jurgen Klopp looks to bolster his forward line following injuries to Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings.
Pato scored 63 goals in 150 appearances for AC Milan, but left the San Siro to return to Brazil with Corinthians in 2009.
Despite that move, however, the 26-year-old has made more appearances on loan for city rivals Sao Paul in recent seasons.
