AC Milan 'want to sign Tiemoue Bakayoko on permanent deal from Chelsea'

AC Milan are reportedly keen to sign Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko on a permanent basis for around £35m when the transfer window reopens in January.

AC Milan are reportedly eager to sign Chelsea loanee Tiemoue Bakayoko on a permanent basis.

Bakayoko has been on loan at San Siro since the start of the season, having endured a difficult debut campaign at Stamford Bridge following his move from Monaco.

The France international initially struggled to settle in at Milan too, and reports suggested that his loan could be cut short, but the Serie A outfit are now understood to have changed their minds.

Calciomercato reports that Bakayoko has won over Leonardo, Gennaro Gattuso and Paolo Maldini with his performances in recent months and could now make his temporary switch permanent.

Discussions are already underway over a deal, with Bakayoko also open to the move as he looks to put his Chelsea struggles behind him.

Milan reportedly value Bakayoko at around €40m (£35.6m), which would see Chelsea lose money on the player having signed him for £40m.
