Newly-promoted Angers have maintained their unbeaten start to the Ligue 1 season after they were held to a goalless draw by Nantes.
Nantes almost spoiled the party in the opening moments of Angers' first home top-flight game of the season when Kolbeinn Sigthorsson saw his strike saved low down by Ludovic Butelle.
The hosts enjoyed plenty of early chances of their own, with Billy Ketkeophomphone firing narrowly wide with a shot before Gilles Sunu brought a save out of Remy Riou.
On 75 minutes, Angers could have made the breakthrough as Abdoul Camara fizzed an effort inches away from the top corner of Riou's net.
Sunu then forced another stop out of the Nantes keeper as the newly-promoted side tried to secure a first victory.
However, bar a late effort from Johan Audel which nearly gave Les Canaris the points, the hosts held on to keep their unbeaten start going.
