Nantes, Lorient battle to scrappy draw after frantic first half

Johan Audel cancels out a Papy Djilobodji own goal as Nantes and Lorient draw 1-1 in Ligue 1.

Two goals in the first six minutes have seen Nantes and Lorient finish all square at 1-1 in Ligue 1 tonight.

The visitors took the lead after just four minutes as a low shot hit Papy Djilobodji and flew into the back of the net.

However, Nantes equalised just two minutes later as Johan Audel powered in a header from a corner.

Jordan Ayew came close to giving Lorient the lead for a second time, but his shot was tipped round the post by Remy Riou as the away side finished the half strongly.

After the break, Lorient continued to create the better chances and Riou was forced into a low save to deny Didier Ndong before Benjamin Lacomte tipped Yacine Bammou's vicious drive wide.

Neither side could find a winner though and they look destined to finish the season in the bottom half of the table.
