Barcelona's winning start to the 2024-25 La Liga campaign is over, having suffered a 4-2 defeat to Osasuna in Saturday night's contest at El Sadar.
Bryan Zaragoza was the star of the opening half of action, with his excellent cross being headed into the back of the net by Ante Budimir in the 18th minute to hand Osasuna a shock lead against the division leaders.
The on-loan Bayern Munich attacker then got his name on the scoresheet in the 28th minute of the contest, as he broke through on goal before expertly rounding Barcelona goalkeeper Inaki Pena and then finishing calmly into the back of the net.
With Lamine Yamal and Raphinha on the bench, Barcelona struggled in the first 45 minutes, and it was a deserved lead for Osasuna, who had seven attempts to the away side's two in the opening half of action despite only having 30% of the possession.
Barcelona had a route back into the match in the 53rd minute courtesy of poor goalkeeping from Osasuna's Sergio Herrera, who first gave the ball away with a poor throw before allowing a tame strike from Pau Victor to find a route into the bottom corner.
However, Osasuna restored their two-goal advantage from the penalty spot in the 72nd minute, with Budimir registering from the spot after being fouled by Sergi Dominguez.
There were time for two more goals on Saturday night, with Abel Bretones making it 4-1 courtesy of a long-range effort, before Yamal netted a stunner in the final exchanges to make it a six-goal contest.
Barcelona remain top of the La Liga table, boasting 21 points from their opening eight matches, while Osasuna have risen into sixth position courtesy of their fourth league success of the campaign.
