The Czech struggled with his serve in the opening set, allowing his opponent to get an early break on the board.
The British number one came under pressure as Berdych started to attack on the return, but the Scot managed to save a break point before serving out the opener two games later.
Murray continued to look the stronger of the two players when he broke in the opening game of the second set, but the world number nine hit back straight away to keep the set level.
The two-time champion kept his composure and attacked again, ensuring that the third game of the set also went against serve, and this time he consolidated it, saving a break point in the next game to keep himself ahead.
As Murray served for the match, the Czech tried to put him under pressure, claiming the first couple of points of the game with some well-timed returns, but the Briton was not fazed, hitting a string of powerful serves to see the match out.
Murray will face either world number one Novak Djokovic or America's John Isner in the final.
