Wales captain Sam Warburton hopeful of facing Ireland in Six Nations

Wales captain Sam Warburton expects to be fit for his side's Six Nations clash with Ireland in Cardiff.

Wales captain Sam Warburton has revealed that he expects to be fit to face Ireland in the Six Nations on March 14.

The flanker recently returned to training after picking up a knee injury during his side's 20-13 win over France last Saturday.

Whether he is fully fit or not, Warburton believes that Ireland will provide his side with a "huge" test in Cardiff.

"It has got a lot better and I'll be back to see the physios but all the signs are positive," the 26-year-old is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

"It's going to be a huge game. I've been really impressed with Ireland in the last 12 months. They have won their last 10 games against quality opposition and they will be going into the game as favourites."

Ireland are the only team who have won all of their games in this year's Six Nations.
