Wales winger George North has admitted that the team has been too inconsistent during this season's Six Nations.
Warren Gatland's side saw their hopes of winning a third consecutive title ended on Sunday with a 29-18 defeat to England.
That loss was Wales's second of the tournament following their 26-3 hammering by Ireland on February 8.
"It has been massively frustrating. We should be focusing on performing week in, week out, but we have been up and down," North is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"In one sense it is good to get it out of the way ahead of a big year next year. We have just got to make sure we are consistently playing well, and hopefully we can go out all guns blazing against Scotland.
"We have a short turnaround now. We have to regroup and focus on finishing well against Scotland. I don't think we weren't there emotionally, emotions were good. We have just got to step up straightaway."
Wales welcome Scotland to the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on Saturday.
