Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny has been ruled out for the rest of the season after suffering a dislocated shoulder during this afternoon's Six Nations match against England.
The Red Dragons saw their chances of retaining the trophy ended by England at Twickenham this afternoon, with Halfpenny kicking all of his side's points in a 29-18 defeat.
The 25-year-old appeared to suffer the injury during a try-saving tackle on England centre Luther Burrell in the second half, and he will now miss the rest of the campaign.
"Leigh has dislocated his shoulder. That will be Leigh's season over, which is disappointing for him," head coach Warren Gatland confirmed at the post-match press conference.
Gatland will now have to choose a player to replace Halfpenny for the final game of the Six Nations against Scotland on Saturday, with Scarlets full-back Liam Williams the favourite.
