Ten-man Bordeaux battle for a point

Toulouse and Bordeaux are still without a win in Ligue 1 after their goalless draw at the Stade Municipal.

Bordeaux have claimed a point away at Toulouse despite being a man down for most of the game at the Stadium Municipal.

Wissam Ben Yedder and Eden Ben Basat were proving to be a real handful for the Bordeaux back line, a task that was made harder when they were reduced to 10 men in the 27th minute.

Marc Planus was the guilty party, scything down Ben Basat after he had burst down the right-hand side. The referee adjudged it to be a scoring opportunity and gave him his marching orders.

Despite that setback, it was Francis Gillot's men who went ahead thanks to a cool finish from Cheick Diabate in the 43rd minute.

However, that lead did not last very long, as Eden Ben Basat followed in to draw Le Tef level before the break.

Bordeaux's numerical disadvantage did not seem to hold them back as they threatened early in the second half, but it was goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso who kept his side on level terms.

The 31-year-old produced a brilliant stop to deny Issiaga Sylla from point-blank range in the 68th minute, and that was enough to earn his team a hard-fought draw.
