Roberto Martinez ready for Tottenham Hotspur test

Roberto Martinez admits that Everton will have to be at their best when they take on Tottenham Hotspur this weekend, but is confident in his players.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez is confident ahead of Sunday's visit of Tottenham Hotspur.

The Toffees are just a point behind Spurs, with both sides enjoying a bright start to the season.

Their manager knows that they will have to be at their best this weekend though, and claims that the visitors have one of the best squads in the league.

"We know that we will have to be at our best on Sunday," Martinez told the club's official website.

"I think Spurs are probably one of the best squads in the league, if anything they've coped really well losing one of the best performers last season [Gareth Bale].

"We just concentrate on ourselves. We're still growing and we're still getting better. We are a group of players that are ready to compete against whoever, and with the support of Goodison [Park] behind us."

Everton take on Spurs on Sunday at 1.30pm.
