Half-Time Report: Paris Saint-Germain in control against Metz

Paris Saint-Germain score early on to open up a 2-0 lead over Metz in Ligue 1.

Two goals inside the opening 20 minutes have given Paris Saint-Germain a 2-0 lead over Metz at half time in their Ligue 1 clash this evening.

Despite the home side creating a couple of half-chances in the opening five minutes, it was PSG who broke the deadlock, as Javier Pastore smashed the ball in from the centre of the box.

It did not take the visitors long to double their advantage, as Gaetan Bussmann turned the ball into his own net while attempting to defend a free kick from Maxwell.

Florent Malouda tried to reduce the deficit for Metz shortly before the half-hour mark, but he twice had efforts blocked from the edge of the box.

Romain Metanire also attempted to set something up for the home side just before the break, but Guirane N'Daw headed his delivery wide from the middle of the box, failing to trouble Salvatore Sirigu.
