Peterborough United have announced the departure of manager Grant McCann following a run of four successive draws in League One.
The Posh find themselves six points adrift of the playoff zone after going seven matches without a victory overall since January 20.
McCann has paid for the disappointing run of form with his job - his first in full-time management - bringing an end to a near two-year spell at London Road post-playing.
Chairman Darragh MacAnthony told the club's official website: "I love Grant, he is a legend of this football club and always will be but it has not quite happened in management for him here and it was the right time to part ways. I thank him for all his efforts and wish him and his family the very best in the future."
David Oldfield will step up to manage Peterborough ahead of Tuesday night's league game with Millwall.
