Preview: Middlesbrough vs. Derby County

Sports Mole previews Wednesday's Championship clash between Middlesborough and Derby County at the Riverside Stadium.

Middlesbrough welcome Derby County to the Riverside on Wednesday with both clubs languishing in mid-table after eight matches.

Middlesbrough occupy 11th spot having secured 12 points in the Championship thus far, while Derby sit one point and one place lower than their rivals.

The home side will enter the match full of confidence having lost just one of their last six matches at the Riverside and they recorded a 2-0 win over the Rams in the corresponding fixture last season.

Derby have lost three of their last six matches on the road, but they enter the match off the back of an impressive 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend.

Neither side have any fresh injury concerns ahead of the match, but Derby could hand a start to Theo Robinson following his impressive cameo against Forest.

Recent form:

Middlesbrough: WLWWL
Derby: WLWLW

Possible lineups:

Middlesbrough: Steele; Friend, Woodgate, Bikey, Hoyte; McEachran, Bailey, Thomson, Leadbitter; Jutkiewicz, Zemmama

Derby: Fielding; Brayford, Buxton, Keogh, Roberts; Coutts, Bryson, Hendrick, Robinson; Ward, Sammon

Sports Mole says: 2-1
