Manchester United and Chelsea will reportedly compete for the services of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen this summer.

Since joining from Ajax five years ago, Eriksen has been directly involved in 141 goals in 255 appearances for the North London club, scoring 62 and assisting 79.

According to The Express, United and Chelsea are both hopeful of signing the Danish international after Real Madrid dropped their interest.

The report adds that the two Premier League teams will face competition from Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain for the 26-year-old.

Eriksen is currently on £75,000 a week at White Hart Lane, but his contract will expire next summer.
