Zlatan Ibrahimovic: 'I was not concerned by goal drought'

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists that he was unconcerned by his goal drought before scoring twice against Swansea City.

Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has insisted that he was not concerned by his goal drought heading into this afternoon's Premier League clash with Swansea City.

The 35-year-old began his United career with four goals in his first four Premier League games, but he had failed to find the back of the net in his last six before the trip to the Liberty Stadium.

However, the Swede scored twice to help Jose Mourinho's side to a 3-1 victory in South Wales, the first of which was the 25,000th goal in Premier League history.

"No [I was not worried], as long as you create the chances which I have been doing the goals will come. But the most important thing is the win. The goals will come," he told reporters.

"I wasn't [aware that it was the 25,000th goal]. I thought that was only me who had scored 25,000."

Ibrahimovic's performance was slightly tarnished by picking up a yellow card that rules him out of the match against Arsenal after the international break, but the striker was unhappy with Neil Swarbrick's decision.

"I thought we played rough in England? I play rough and I got a yellow card. What was it for? I don't know. Maybe I was too tired to hear why the referee gave it," he added.

Ibrahimovic also reached a personal milestone against Swansea, with his second goal marking the 400th of his club career.
