Team News: Yaya Toure rested for Manchester City's visit of Burnley

Manuel Pellegrini leaves Yaya Toure out of his Manchester City side for their Premier League game against unchanged Burnley at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has rested Yaya Toure for his side's Premier League game against Burnley this afternoon.

Captain Vincent Kompany also fails to make the squad after missing the last two games with calf and hamstring problems.

James Milner continues as City's striker, with Stevan Jovetic and Frank Lampard on the bench, and Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko injured.

Burnley, meanwhile, name an unchanged side for the fifth game in a row, with Sean Dyche choosing not to rotate despite the busy festive fixture list.

Striker Sam Vokes misses out despite making his comeback from a long-term knee problem in the Boxing Day defeat to Liverpool.

Manchester City: Hart; Zabaleta, Demichelis, Mangala, Kolarov; Fernandinho, Fernando, Navas, Silva, Nasri; Milner

Burnley: Heaton; Mee, Shackell, Keane, Trippier; Boyd, Jones, Marney, Arfield; Barnes, Ings
