Gabriel Jesus replaces Sergio Aguero for Manchester City's trip to Crystal Palace as one of three changes from last time out.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made three changes to his starting lineup for today's Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace, including a return up top for Gabriel Jesus.

The Brazilian striker replaces Sergio Aguero following the 1-0 win over Newcastle United on Wednesday evening, while crocked skipper Vincent Kompany and in-form winger Raheem Sterling also drop out.

Eliaquim Mangala is brought in to partner Nicolas Otamendi at the back and Leroy Sane is also given the nod in a supporting role behind lone striker Jesus.

City, who have John Stones back among their subs following a six-week spell out injured, have the chance to move 16 points clear of the chasing pack with victory this afternoon.

In terms of the home side, boss Roy Hodgson has made four changes on the back of the 3-2 defeat to Arsenal last time out, with goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey among those to return in place of Julian Speroni.

Jairo Riedewald comes in for a first league start since the opening day, meanwhile, and both full-backs have been switched as Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Patrick van Aanholt take over from Martin Kelly and Jeffrey Schlupp.

The Eagles have lost 14 of their last 15 meetings with City, conceding 24 goals in the six most recent encounters.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Van Aanholt, Tomkins, Dann, Riedewald, Fosu-Mensah; Cabaye, Milivojevic; Townsend, Benteke, Zaha
Subs: Speroni, Lee, Souare, Kaikai, Kelly, Delaney, Puncheon

Manchester City: Ederson; Walker, Danilo, Otamendi, Mangala; Gundogan, Fernandinho, De Bruyne, Sane, Bernardo; Jesus
Subs: Bravo, Stones, Sterling, Aguero, Adarabioyo, Zinchenko, Toure
