Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott believes that controversial striker Carlos Tevez will give the North West side a "massive boost" as they continue their Premier League campaign.
The Argentina international has returned to the league leaders after over three months of absence and has apologised to the club for the actions that led to his demise in September.
"It's a massive boost if Carlos can come back in and hit the form he has shown us over the last couple of years," Lescott told talkSPORT.
"For us Carlos has never been an issue so we're confident that if he does get a chance he can score a lot of goals.
"It hasn't been a situation. He hasn't been here for the last couple of months but that is an issue that the club has dealt with and the players have got on with the job in hand."
While topping the league table, Roberto Mancini's side have also booked their place in the last 16 of the Europa League after a 4-0 defeat to Porto last night.
