Manchester City are considering a move for Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain in the summer, according to the Daily Mail.
Despite being the Premier League's top scorers with 64 goals in 25 games, City boss Roberto Mancini is apparently looking to add another striker to his list of attacking options.
Any potential transfer would depend on the City future of Higuain's international colleague Carlos Tevez.
The Argentine apologised to the club on Tuesday following his touchline row with Mancini and may return to first-team action within the next few weeks.
Higuain has netted 18 times in 31 appearances for Madrid this season.
