Manchester City could make a summer move for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez, according to The Sun.
Martinez, 23, starred for the Spanish Under-21 team in the European Championships last summer, and has reportedly been recommended by City winger David Silva.
A Bilbao source had recently stated: "We don't want Javi to go – only an incredible offer could change our minds."
City, however, are prepared to offer £25m for the Spanish international as Roberto Mancini looks to add fresh blood to his midfield.
Martinez joined Bilbao from Osasuna in 2006.
