PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti reveals that the Carlos Tevez move broke down due to the player's wage demands.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that Carlos Tevez's wage demands prevented a move for the player materialising.

The Argentina international remains at Manchester City despite interest from Inter, AC Milan and PSG.

The striker seemed set for a move away from the Etihad Stadium, where he hasn't played since refusing to warm up in the Champions League game against Bayern Munich in September.

Despite not being able to reach an agreement, Ancelotti has refused to rule out a summer move for the 27-year-old.

"We spoke with his agent - we wanted to have him - but we couldn't reach an agreement," said the former Chelsea and AC Milan manager.

"I don't think he'll change his idea about how much he wants to earn.

"Now we wait and in the summer transfer window we will have more possibilities."

Tevez joined Manchester City in 2009 from rivals Manchester United.
