Man United lineup vs. Leicester: Predicted XI for Ruud van Nistelrooy's last game in charge

Diallo or Rashford? How Man United could line up against Leicester

Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's Premier League clash with Leicester City.

Manchester United interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy will take charge of his last game for the club in Sunday's Premier League battle with Leicester City at Old Trafford.

The Dutchman will be handing the reins over to Ruben Amorim during the international break but firstly hopes to end with an unbeaten record, having overseen two wins and a draw thus far.

The latest of those successes came against PAOK in the Europa League on Thursday, where Amad Diallo scored twice in the second half before sustaining a knock in the latter stages.

The Ivorian has now emerged as a doubt for this fixture, which all of Luke Shaw (calf), Harry Maguire (calf), Kobbie Mainoo (thigh), Tyrell Malacia (knee) and Leny Yoro (foot) will sit out.

If Diallo is unable to reprise his role in the final third, Marcus Rashford should be introduced into an otherwise unchanged attacking line with Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund, the latter keeping Joshua Zirkzee at bay again.

Casemiro and Manuel Ugarte should not be in any danger of losing their spots in midfield either, unless the fresh legs of Christian Eriksen are preferred, while Diogo Dalot and Noussair Mazraoui are also guaranteed starters out wide.

However, a pair of central alterations ought to see Lisandro Martinez and Matthijs de Ligt reintroduced to the backline at the expense of Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof.

Manchester United possible starting lineup:
Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Martinez, Mazraoui; Casemiro, Ugarte; Rashford, Fernandes, Garnacho; Hojlund
