Groningen and FC Twente have played out a 2-2 draw in this afternoon's Eredivisie clash at the Euroborg Stadium.

The visitors drew first blood in the 12th minute when Peruvian midfielder Renato Tapia lashed an effort from 25 yards into the corner of the Groningen net.

Erwin van de Looi's charges were level in the 24th minute courtesy of Lorenzo Burnet, who collected Albert Rusnak's pass before rifling into the far corner.

Twente were back in the lead just before the hour when Hakim Ziyech's free kick into the box was bundled in by Joachim Anderson.

Groningen were able to salvage a point just 10 minutes from time, with Mimoun Mahi's effort being spilled by Nick Marsman into his own net.
